This workshop prepared me for utilizing the use of an ACTIVboard in my classroom. As a a leader within the school, I feel that learning to utilize technology in the classroom and to see firsthand the strengths and drawbacks to using it in the class. In order to understand how it impacts students learning and the problems that could face teachers in using it in their classroom is pertinent to its success in the school setting. The person leading this training was a classroom teacher that was serving ETTC as a guest instructor. This was her first training as the instructor. Her style was great and she gave many instances where she utilized the tasks she was presenting in her own class. This was very useful to me to hear how she utilizes this in her own room. My criticism of her leadership style is that it was difficult for her to keep the attention of some as she helped those with less computer experience. As a future administrator, this makes me aware of including all of those involved in trainings and meeting all of their needs.
