 Technology Conferences

During the course of the Educational Leadership program, I was fortunate to attend several technology conferences. These were enlightening and the focus was on the use of technology in an educational setting. Below are listed links to the organizations responsible for the conferences and links to information about future events being planned.

NECC (National Educational Computing Conference: This is the world's largest educational conference for teachers and technology coordinators. Last year's event was held in Atlanta, Georgia. The next conference is planned for San Antonio, Texas beginning on June 29, 2008.

GAEtc (Georgia Educational Technology Conference): Last year's conference was held in Atlanta. Highlights of my experiences are attending some of the presentations of Patrick Crispen. One such presentation was on ways to recognize a student's ability to get around web filters. It was enlightening and something all middle and high school teachers, as well as administrators, need to be aware of. This year's event will be held.November 5-7, 2008. It is sponsored by the Georgia Educational Technology Consortium, in cooperation with the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), will host the 21st annual Georgia Educational Technology Conference (GaETC) at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta.
